KahaLex Terms of Service
Definitions and Interpretation
In these Terms of Service, unless the context otherwise requires:
- "KahaLex" or "the Service" means the Kaharagian legal codes reference site at kahalex.kaharagia.org, including its full text, indices, and search.
- "Kaharagia" or "the State" means the Principality of Kaharagia, its sovereign institutions, and competent authorities acting under lawful mandate.
- "User" means any natural or legal person who accesses or uses KahaLex.
- "Royal Kaharagian Gazette" means the official publication of record for Kaharagian law, decrees, and regulatory instruments.
- "Reference Text" means the text of a Kaharagian legal code as published on KahaLex.
- "Terms" means these Terms of Service, as amended from time to time.
Identity and Nature of the Service
KahaLex is a reference and study aid for the laws of the Principality of Kaharagia. It collates the codes, statutes, and regulatory instruments of Kaharagia in a navigable, indexed, and searchable form for the convenience of practitioners, students, and the public.
Authoritative Status. KahaLex Is Not Authoritative
KahaLex is a reference site, not a publication of record.
The authoritative text of any Kaharagian legal instrument is the version published in the Royal Kaharagian Gazette. In the event of any discrepancy between a Reference Text on KahaLex and the Gazette publication of the same instrument, the Gazette prevails.
Reference Texts on KahaLex may, from time to time, lag behind recent amendments, contain transcription errors, or differ in formatting from the Gazette. KahaLex is provided as a convenience and a study aid; it is not a substitute for consulting the Gazette for any matter of legal effect.
Citations of Kaharagian law for legal purposes should refer to the Gazette publication, by edition reference and instrument number, not to KahaLex URLs.
Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using KahaLex, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and accept these Terms in their entirety, including the express disclaimer of authoritative status above.
No Legal Advice
KahaLex publishes the text of legal instruments. It does not provide legal advice. Reading or searching KahaLex does not establish a lawyer-client or advisor-client relationship of any kind. Persons in need of legal advice on a specific matter should consult a qualified practitioner.
Governing Law, Sovereignty, and Jurisdiction
Applicable Law
These Terms, KahaLex, and all matters arising from or relating to their interpretation, application, or use are governed exclusively and in all respects by the laws of the Principality of Kaharagia.
Technical Hosting and Foreign Legal Assertions
KahaLex is technically hosted on infrastructure located in the Federal Republic of Germany, and the associated domain name is registered through a registrar situated in the Federal Republic of Germany. These arrangements do not constitute consent or submission to German, European Union, or any other foreign jurisdiction, and do not alter the exclusive jurisdiction of Kaharagia over the Service.
Permitted Use and Prohibited Conduct
Permitted Use
KahaLex may be read, searched, cited (with appropriate caveat as to its non-authoritative status), and reproduced for personal, educational, research, and study purposes. Reproduction is governed by the Crown Copyright policy.
Prohibited Conduct
Users shall not:
- Hold out a Reference Text as the authoritative text of a Kaharagian legal instrument;
- Alter or fabricate Reference Texts and present them as KahaLex content;
- Use automated systems to scrape KahaLex at scale without authorisation;
- Interfere with the operation, integrity, or availability of the Service;
- Use KahaLex for any purpose unlawful under Kaharagian law.
Service Availability
KahaLex is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. The State does not warrant uninterrupted operation, freedom from error, or that any given Reference Text is current as of the moment of access.
Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by Kaharagian law, the State shall not be liable for any damages arising from reliance upon a Reference Text in lieu of the Gazette, from any error or delay in the Reference Texts, or from interruption or unavailability of the Service.
Data Protection and Privacy
The processing of personal data through KahaLex is governed by Kaharagian data protection law and by the KahaLex Privacy Notice.
Institutional Authority and Non-Waiver
Nothing in these Terms shall be construed to limit, constrain, or fetter the sovereign authority of the Principality of Kaharagia.

Amendment and Revision
These Terms may be amended at any time. Continued use of the Service following publication constitutes acceptance.
Severability
If any provision of these Terms is held to be invalid or unenforceable, that provision shall be limited or eliminated to the minimum extent necessary, and the remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect.
