About This Notice

This Privacy Notice explains how Káhareži Fondazár (legal name KAHARAZI VONDACIJA), a Michigan 501(c)(3) nonprofit corporation (EIN 88-2274879), collects, uses, and protects personal information in connection with its fiscal-hosting service at fiscalhosting.fondazar.org.

The Foundation is a separate legal person from the Principality of Kaharagia.

This Notice should be read in conjunction with the Fiscal Hosting Terms of Service and (for general site use) the Káhareži Fondazár Privacy Notice.

Information We Collect

When You Browse fiscalhosting.fondazar.org

  • IP address and approximate technical metadata of your device
  • Pages requested and timestamps
  • Referrer URL where transmitted by your browser

When You Apply for Fiscal Hosting

  • Name and contact details of the proposed Project Lead and other key persons
  • Description of the proposed Sponsored Project, including its charitable purpose, planned activities, and expected funding
  • Supporting documents you choose to submit (such as a project plan, budget, or governance description)

Once You Are an Active Sponsored Project

  • Identifying and contact information of the Project Lead and other persons authorised to act for the Sponsored Project
  • Donation records relating to the Sponsored Project (donor name, amount, date, designation), to the extent the donor has not requested anonymity
  • Disbursement requests, supporting receipts and invoices, and the resulting payment records
  • Periodic narrative and financial reports submitted to the Foundation
  • Communications between the Foundation and persons associated with the Sponsored Project

Donor Information

When a Donor contributes to a Sponsored Project through the Foundation, the donor's information is processed under the Foundation's main Káhareži Fondazár Privacy Notice. Donations to a Sponsored Project are made to and recorded by the Foundation; the Sponsored Project receives only the information necessary to fulfil any benefits or acknowledgements offered to the donor and to operate the project.

How We Use Information

We use information collected through the fiscal-hosting service to:

  • Evaluate fiscal-hosting applications;
  • Operate the fiscal-hosting relationship, including processing donations, disbursements, and reports;
  • Discharge the Foundation's accounting, audit, and IRS Form 990 reporting obligations;
  • Comply with US federal, Michigan state, and applicable foreign law;
  • Communicate with Project Leads about their Sponsored Project;
  • Protect the integrity of the service and detect fraud or misuse;
  • Maintain charitable records for the period required by law.

We do not sell information collected through the fiscal-hosting service.

Sharing of Information

We may share information with:

  • Stripe: payment processing for donations
  • Banking and payment partners: to process disbursements to or for the benefit of Sponsored Projects
  • Email service providers: for communications and acknowledgements
  • Professional advisors: accountants, auditors, and legal counsel for compliance and audit purposes
  • Government authorities: where required by US federal, Michigan state, or applicable foreign law (including IRS Form 990 reporting, where applicable)

In the ordinary course, the Foundation does not share Sponsored Project information with the Principality of Kaharagia or any of its institutions, except where the Sponsored Project's purpose specifically involves cooperation with a Kaharagian institution and the relevant persons have been informed.

Public Disclosure

The Foundation may publicly identify Sponsored Projects (by project name and brief description) on its website or in its annual reports. The Project Lead consents to such identification by accepting fiscal-hosting status, unless an alternative arrangement is agreed in writing.

The Foundation does not publish Donor names or amounts without the Donor's prior consent, except as required by IRS rules in the Foundation's Form 990 filings (Schedule B, generally not subject to public disclosure).

Retention

We retain personal information for as long as necessary for the purposes for which it was collected, and as required for compliance with US federal and Michigan state law:

  • Application records are retained for the period necessary to evaluate the application and for a reasonable period thereafter for audit purposes;
  • Active Sponsored Project records are retained for the duration of the relationship and for the periods required by US tax and Michigan nonprofit law (typically several years beyond closure);
  • Donation records are retained according to the retention policy described in the Káhareži Fondazár Privacy Notice;
  • Browsing logs are retained under standard rotation for security and operational diagnostics.

Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect personal information, including encryption in transit, restricted backend access, and use of Stripe for payment processing so that card data is not handled by the Foundation.

No system is perfectly secure. If we become aware of a security incident affecting your information, we will notify affected persons and the appropriate authorities as required by applicable law.

Your Rights

Depending on the jurisdiction in which you reside, you may have rights of access, correction, deletion, opt-out, and (for California or EEA/UK residents) the additional rights described in the Káhareži Fondazár Privacy Notice. Where information relates to a Sponsored Project's records, the Foundation's retention obligations under US tax and nonprofit law may limit the Foundation's ability to delete information on request.

International Visitors and Data Transfers

The Foundation is based in the United States. Information collected through fiscalhosting.fondazar.org is processed on infrastructure used by the Foundation, including infrastructure that may be located outside the United States.

If you are accessing the site from outside the United States, you understand that your information may be transferred to and processed in the United States and other jurisdictions.

Children Under 13

The fiscal-hosting service is intended for adults acting on behalf of projects, organisations, or initiatives. The Foundation does not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 in connection with this service.

Changes to This Notice

The Foundation may update this Notice from time to time. The "Last Reviewed" date indicates when the Notice was most recently updated. Material changes affecting existing Sponsored Projects will be communicated to the relevant Project Lead.
