Read the Royal Kaharagian Gazette
The Royal Kaharagian Gazette is the official publication of record. It contains decrees, regulations, proclamations, official notices, conferral of honours, vital records, and any other matter required by Kaharagian law to be published.
The Gazette is open to the public; no account is needed.
What you can find
- Decrees and regulations: primary instruments enacted by competent authority
- Proclamations and statements: formal acts of the Crown
- Notices: administrative notices, vital records, recognitions
- Conferral of honours: the official record of who has been awarded what
- Corrigenda: corrections to previously published instruments
How the Gazette is organised
Issues of the Gazette are published in dated editions. Each edition contains the instruments published on or close to that date. Older editions remain accessible, the Gazette is the permanent record and does not delete published material. If a correction is needed, a corrigendum is published; the original remains alongside it.
Searching and browsing
The Gazette site supports both browsing by date and searching by keyword. To find a specific instrument:
- If you know the date, browse to that edition
- If you know the title or subject, use the search
- If you have a citation (e.g. a reference to a particular Decree), look for the issue in which the Decree was published
How to cite a Gazette publication
For legal or scholarly purposes, cite the Gazette by:
- The Instrument number or title
- The date of publication
- The Gazette edition reference
Do not cite KahaLex (the reference site) or any third-party reproduction for legal purposes, the Gazette is the authoritative source. Where any restatement, summary, or reproduction differs from the Gazette, the Gazette prevails.
What the Gazette is, and is not
The Gazette is a publication of record, not a news outlet or general-information site. Its content is selected for legal and constitutional reasons, not for newsworthiness. Many ordinary State activities never appear in the Gazette; only those for which publication is required (or appropriate as a matter of constitutional practice) are published.
The Gazette is also not a comment platform. It does not accept submissions from the public, does not publish opinion pieces, and does not host external content.
For the legal terms of use, see the Gazette Terms of Service and Gazette Privacy Notice.
Common problems
- "The instrument I'm looking for isn't in the Gazette." Either it has not been published, was published under a different title, or is in a different edition than expected. Try searching by likely keywords; if still not found, the instrument may not yet be in force.
- "I see a discrepancy between the Gazette and KahaLex." The Gazette text is correct. KahaLex may lag, contain transcription errors, or differ in formatting; report the discrepancy to KahaLex if you wish, but rely on the Gazette.
- "The page seems out of date." Editions are published as instruments are promulgated. There is no fixed publication schedule.
