Register travel
Travel registration is a voluntary submission to the State letting the relevant institutions know that you intend to travel. Registration is intended for Kaharagian nationals and persons with a substantive relationship to the Principality, but is not required for ordinary international travel.
Reach the flow from the dashboard, the services directory, or directly at eportal.kaharagia.org/travel-registration.
What it does
A registered trip:
- Is recorded in your ePortal record
- Allows the State to reach you with relevant communications during the trip if needed
- May be useful in connection with consular or assistance matters, where the Principality is in a position to provide such assistance
- Forms part of your civil-status record where applicable
What it does not do
Travel registration is not:
- A travel authorisation by the Principality (your right to travel is governed by your nationality and the law of the destination, not by Kaharagian registration)
- A visa or entry permit for the destination
- A guarantee of consular support, the Principality does not undertake to provide assistance in any particular case
- A replacement for any travel notification required by your country of nationality
Before you start
You will need:
- A K-Connect account with verified identity
- The dates of your intended travel (departure and return)
- The destinations: country (and city, optionally)
- The purpose of travel (business, leisure, family, medical, study, etc.)
- The means of travel (air, sea, land) and, if known, transport details
- Contact details where you can be reached during the trip (an email or telephone that will work abroad)
- Emergency contact information (name and contact for someone the State could reach in the event of difficulty)
The form
- Trip dates: departure and return
- Destinations: primary and any secondary
- Purpose: choose from the listed categories or describe in free text
- Means of travel and transport details: air, sea, land; carrier and flight number where known
- Contact during travel: how to reach you while abroad
- Emergency contact: name and contact for someone trusted
- Notes: anything else the State should know
- Submit
You can save and return; partial submissions are kept.
After submission
- You receive an inbox confirmation that the registration has been received
- The registration is recorded in your travel record
- You may update the registration if your plans change (cancel, postpone, extend) from your travel record
- After the return date, the registration is marked complete
Updating or cancelling
From the registration detail page you can:
- Update dates, destinations, or contact details
- Mark cancelled if the trip will not take place
- Mark returned early if you return ahead of the planned date
Keeping the State informed of changes is voluntary but appreciated, especially where the registration may be relevant to ongoing matters.
Privacy
Travel registration data is processed under the ePortal Privacy Notice. It is used only for the purposes set out above and is not shared with foreign authorities save where required by Kaharagian law.
Common questions
- "Should I register every trip?" It's voluntary. Register when you think the State having the information would be useful, for longer trips, trips to areas where you might want to be reachable, trips connected to Kaharagian business.
- "Will the Principality contact the destination authorities about me?" No. Registration is for the State's record, not for outbound communication.
- "Can I register travel that's already in progress?" Yes, submit it whenever you can. The State will accept and process the registration even if the trip is underway.
- "What about trips inside the Principality itself?" Internal travel does not require registration; this flow is intended for international travel.
