Definitions of terms commonly encountered across Kaharagian institutions and digital services.

Alias Token A privacy-preserving identifier issued by the Verification service that allows a member of the public to send a message to the holder of a verified record without learning the holder's contact details.
Citation (in honours) A short statement of the grounds on which a person is nominated for, or recipient of, a Kaharagian honour.
Connected Service A digital service of the Principality that uses K-Connect for authentication. The ePortal is the principal Connected Service.
Crown Copyright The form of copyright subsisting in works made by or under the direction of the Crown of Kaharagia. See the Crown Copyright policy for the doctrine and the conditions of permitted reuse.

Decoration A class of Kaharagian honour, distinct from Orders and Medals. Decorations are recorded in the public registry on the Honours service.
ePortal The Kaharagian ePortal at eportal.kaharagia.org, the official digital administrative portal of the Principality.
Foundation, theKáhareži Fondazár (legal name KAHARAZI VONDACIJA), a Michigan 501(c)(3) public charity (EIN 88-2274879) that supports Kaharagian culture. Separate legal person from the Principality. Site: fondazar.org.

Gazette The Royal Kaharagian Gazette at gazette.kaharagia.org, the official publication of record of the Principality. Authoritative source for the text of any Kaharagian instrument.
Honour A general term covering Orders, Decorations, and Medals conferred by the Crown of Kaharagia.
Instrument Any decree, regulation, proclamation, notice, or other matter published in the Gazette.

KahaLex The Kaharagian legal-codes reference site at kahalex.kaharagia.org. A study aid; not authoritative: the Gazette prevails.
K-Connect The single sign-on service of the Principality at connect.kaharagia.org. The mechanism by which a User authenticates to access Connected Services.
KOTS Kaharagian Official Terminal System, the workstation operating system used internally by Kaharagian institutions. Not directly accessible to the public.
Lifeblood Kaharagia The Kaharagian blood-donation recognition programme, accessible at eportal.kaharagia.org/lifeblood (with a redirect from the legacy lifeblood.kaharagia.org). Donors are eligible for the Medal of Merit for Blood Donations.
Medal A class of Kaharagian honour. Medals are recorded in the public registry on the Honours service.
National Register The civil register of Kaharagian nationals, maintained as part of the official civil-registration processes of the Principality.
Nominator A person who submits a nomination for an honour through the Honours service.
Nominee A person nominated for an honour through the Honours service. The Nominee is not necessarily aware of the nomination at the time of submission.

Office of Digital Government & Cybersecurity The Kaharagian institution responsible for the day-to-day operation of digital services and the stewardship of the data they process. Contact: digital@state.kaharagia.org.
Office of Laws & Justice The Kaharagian institution responsible for matters of internal Kaharagian law, including data-protection matters and substantive enforcement. Contact: justice@state.kaharagia.org.
Office of Legal Affairs The Kaharagian institution responsible for engagement with non-Kaharagian legal systems, foreign courts, and international legal correspondence. Contact: legal@state.kaharagia.org.
Order A class of Kaharagian honour. Orders typically have multiple grades and are recorded in the public registry on the Honours service.
Principality of Kaharagia The self-declared sovereign entity whose digital services are documented here. The Principality is governed by Kaharagian law. Self-declared in this context refers to the source of constitutional authority, not to recognition by other states (which varies).
Recipient (of an honour) A person upon whom an honour has been conferred. The Recipient's name, the honour, the grade, and the date of conferral are matters of public record published in the Gazette and the Honours registry.
Record Holder (in verification) The person to whom a record verifiable through the Verification service relates. Verification confirms the record without disclosing the Record Holder's contact details.
Royal Chancellery The Kaharagian institution with custody of the symbols of the Crown, arms, flags, badges, seals, and other royal insignia. Permission to reproduce these symbols is granted (or refused) by the Royal Chancellery. Contact: chancellery@kaharagia.org.

Secretariat of State The principal civil administration of the Principality. The Office of Digital Government & Cybersecurity, the Office of Laws & Justice, and (in the foreign-engagement role) the Office of Legal Affairs all sit within the Secretariat of State.
Sovereign-formal voice The register of language used in legal instruments and binding documents of the Principality (Terms of Service, Privacy Notices, Decrees). Sovereign-formal voice is intentional and reflects the constitutional posture of the State; ordinary user-facing copy is plainer.
Stripe The payment processor used by the Shop and by Káhareži Fondazár. Card data goes directly to Stripe; the State and the Foundation do not handle full card numbers.
Token (in honours correspondence) A unique, single-use identifier sent to a Nominee or Recipient that allows them to confirm receipt of correspondence and provide updated contact details without creating an account.
Variance Power The discretion of a fiscal sponsor (in the Kaharagian context, Káhareži Fondazár) to redirect Restricted Funds to similar charitable purposes if the Sponsored Project ceases or deviates. Essential for the deductibility of donations under US tax law (IRS Rev. Rul. 68-489).
Verification service The Kaharagian public lookup tool at verify.kaharagia.org. Anonymous, designed to verify the record without identifying the holder.
Veritas The central records database of the Principality. Internal infrastructure; not directly accessible to the public.
Zitadel The open-source authentication platform that backs K-Connect. End users normally interact with the K-Connect surface; "Zitadel" is the underlying technology.
