Document types

A reference catalogue of the kinds of documents the Principality of Kaharagia issues, with notes on how each is verified and what it does and does not establish.

A Kaharagian document is, in its own legal order, what the Principality says it is. Whether a foreign jurisdiction recognises a particular Kaharagian document for any particular purpose is a separate matter, governed by the law and practice of that jurisdiction. The State does not warrant any specific recognition outcome.

Identity and civil status

National ID card

Issued to verified Kaharagian nationals. Carries the holder's identity details and a verification code or QR linking to the Verification service. For practical purposes, the canonical primary identity document of the Principality.

Certificate of nationality

Issued upon application to confirm the bearer's status as a Kaharagian national as of the date of issuance. Includes a verification reference.

Civil-status certificates

Birth, marriage, civil-partnership, and similar certificates produced from the National Register. Issued on application through the ePortal subject to the substantive rules of Kaharagian civil-records law.

Vital records notices

Where a vital record (a registration of birth, marriage, etc.) is published, the publication appears in the Royal Kaharagian Gazette. The Gazette publication is the authoritative public record.

Honours

Citation and grant of an honour

The conferral of an Order, Decoration, or Medal. The conferral takes legal effect on publication in the Gazette. The Honours service registry shows the public record of conferral.

Insignia of an honour

Physical insignia (medals, ribbons, sashes, badges) accompany conferral of certain honours. Production and issuance of insignia is administered separately from the digital record.

Verification artefacts

QR-coded verification stickers and labels

Used on physical objects (animal collars, certain credentials) to allow inspection-based verification. Scanning the QR code resolves to the public verification page for the underlying record.

Reference codes

Alphanumeric codes printed on documents and credentials. Entering the code on the Verification service returns the verification result.

Animal records

Animal registration certificate

Issued for animals registered in the relevant Kaharagian register. Records the registration number, ownership status, and other reference data. Verification is anonymous and does not disclose the owner's identity directly; if you need to contact the owner (for example, having found a registered animal), use the Alias Token contact channel on the verification page.

Lost-and-found notices for registered animals

Where the State publishes a notice (for example, of a found animal whose ownership is being verified), it appears in the Royal Kaharagian Gazette as a notice and on the Verification service.

Communications and decisions

Determinations and notices

Decisions on applications submitted through the ePortal are issued through the ePortal itself, with copies retained in your record. Where a determination has a public dimension (e.g. a regulatory decision), it is also published in the Gazette.

Tokenised correspondence

Some Kaharagian institutions (notably the Honours service) use tokenised links to allow Nominees and Recipients to confirm receipt of correspondence and provide updated contact details without creating an account. A tokenised link is valid only for the addressee and only for a defined period.

Financial documents

Donation receipts (Káhareži Fondazár)

Issued by the Foundation, not by the Principality. Káhareži Fondazár issues donation receipts that satisfy the substantiation requirements of US IRC §170(f)(8) for donations of $250 or more. See Make a donation to Káhareži Fondazár.

Order confirmations and invoices (Shop)

Issued by the Shop on completion of a purchase. Not equivalent to State-issued documents in the sense of the items above; ordinary commercial paperwork.

Restricted material

The following are not "documents" that members of the public may obtain or reproduce, but reference is included for completeness:

  • Royal Symbols: arms, flags, badges, seals of the Crown, reproduction requires permission from the Royal Chancellery (chancellery@kaharagia.org)
  • Internal records: material in Citadel, the National Register beyond what is published, and similar internal records, accessible only to the data subject (under data-subject rights) and to authorised officers

Verifying any of the above

For documents that carry a QR code or reference number, see Verify a Kaharagian document for the step-by-step. The Verification service is the canonical front door for confirming authenticity of any Kaharagian-issued document or credential.
